Security Deposit Assistance Program
The Security Deposit Assistance project (SDAP) is a collaborative effort designed to help working poor families gain access to safe, stable, sustainable housing. Leveraging the expertise and connections of public and private Hillsborough County organizations concerned with homelessness, the SDAP identifies homeless families, helps them connect with landlords, and advances funds to cover security deposits and other move-in costs.
SDAP Pilot Project
The pilot project began in the summer of 2006 with individual donations and generous support from the Harvest Venture Fund. Since then, the Security Deposit Assistance Project has helped over 22 families find their way home. The goal is to expand the program, first locally and then throughout the state. SDAP works for working families!
